Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 July, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu within the framework of Tashkent International Conference.

Current issues of Uzbekistan – Turkey multifaceted relations were discussed at the meeting.

The Head of the state noted with satisfaction the productive and intensive nature of relations with Turkey. The regular dialogue between the leaders of the two countries contributes to strengthening friendship and strategic partnership, filling cooperation with concrete content.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu conveyed the warm greetings and wishes of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the President of Uzbekistan.

The main attention was paid to the preparation and holding of the second meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

Views were exchanged on the regional agenda, including on the situation in Afghanistan.

The importance of close cooperation on the issues of achieving lasting peace and economic recovery in this country was noted.
