Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, who is in our country on a working visit.
Issues of further development and deepening of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the head of our state.
At the meeting, the measures taken by the governments of the two countries to ensure the practical implementation of the agreements between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, reached during the summit in December last year, were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of creating favorable conditions for the growth of trade volumes and balancing its indicators, accelerating new industrial cooperation projects and creating logistics centers, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the water, energy and transport and communication sectors, intensifying interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange.
