President of Uzbekistan received Turkish FM

The parties noted the dynamic development of relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey in accordance with the agreements, reached at high level talks in Samarkand on 17-18 November 2016.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussed issues of expanding mutual beneficial trade-economic and investment cooperation, practical realization with participation of Turkish companies in the projects on modernization of tourism infrastructure.

They also discussed the creation of modern high-tech production capacities in the textile, leather, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, construction materials, deep processing of agricultural products and other areas, including within the free economic zone Urgut.

Uzbek President and Turkish Foreign Minister exchanged opinion on regional and international issues.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thanked the Uzbek side for supporting the projects of Turkish companies in Uzbekistan and stressed readiness for further development of full-scale bilateral cooperation.
