Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 October, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Issues of expanding practical partnership with Tatarstan and promoting joint innovation projects in priority sectors of the economy were substantively considered.

The first results of mutually beneficial cooperation at the level of leading companies and enterprises were noted with satisfaction.

The scale of cooperation is expanding within the framework of the chemical-industrial technopark "Chirchik" in Tashkent region. In particular, 16 investment projects are being prepared and implemented.

They discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation and promoting projects in the field of mechanical engineering, the production of new types of chemical products, in the field of small-scale chemistry and oil refining, agricultural production, and the IT sector in accordance with the adopted road map.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint business projects in the regions of Uzbekistan, including in the Jizzakh and Tashkent regions.

An agreement was reached on the implementation of programs in the field of education, training and advanced training of personnel in technical specialties.
