President of Uzbekistan meets with UNWTO Secretary General

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the meeting was held in Samarkand. On 26 August, Taleb Rifai arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in an International Conference “Central Asian Renaissance in the history of world civilization” and the music festival “Shark Taronalari”.

During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Taleb Rifai discussed promising areas for further expansion of practical cooperation in the field of tourism.

The sides also discussed implementation of measures to popularize the tourist destination in Uzbekistan, development of new types of tourism and demanded tourism products, creation of modern and international infrastructure.
