President of Uzbekistan Meets with Speaker of Japan’s House of Representatives

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his official visit to Tokyo, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with Fumio Nukaga, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament.

During the discussion, the parties focused on further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan and expanding multifaceted cooperation, including at the parliamentary level.

They noted the high intensity of mutual visits and delegation meetings, the active work of parliamentary friendship groups in both countries, and the successful organization of the latest Inter-Parliamentary Forum in Tokyo in May of this year.

Special attention was given to enhancing cooperation between relevant parliamentary committees, local councils of people’s deputies in Uzbekistan, and prefectural assemblies in Japan, as well as to exchanging experiences in legislative processes, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence.
