President of Uzbekistan Meets Russian Delegation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Russian Federation led by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who arrived to participate in the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Uzbek Commission.

The meeting was also attended by leaders from Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod and Omsk regions, Bashkortostan, and Krasnoyarsk Krai.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Russian guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Vladimir Putin to President Mirziyoyev.

The parties discussed the practical implementation of agreements reached during high-level meetings based on the established “roadmap.” They noted the steady growth of trade between the two countries and the progress of joint projects in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, and other sectors.

The importance of coordinated measures to maintain trade momentum, accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects in priority sectors—including industrial zones—and continue active contacts at the regional and business levels was emphasized.

The productive outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting and associated business events in Tashkent were highly appreciated.

On the sidelines of the meeting, leaders of major Russian companies presented President Mirziyoyev with detailed plans for projects in IT, energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the textile and food sectors.
