Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended condolences to the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Charles III on the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

In his letter, the Head of the state noted that Queen Elizabeth II was a great statesman, for more than 70 years of her reign as a symbol of the unity and rapid development of the country, she made an incomparable contribution to the transformation of the Kingdom into one of the leading states in the world economy and politics, increasing its prestige and authority in the international arena.

The President expressed his sympathy and support to the King, his family members and all the people of the United Kingdom, wished them patience and strength.
