President of Uzbekistan Discusses Prospective Peaceful Nuclear Projects with CNNC

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official program of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Beijing, talks were held with Shen Yanfeng, Chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).

During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan congratulated CNNC’s leadership on the 70th anniversary of China’s nuclear industry.

The parties discussed the implementation of prospective projects in Uzbekistan, including the transfer of modern technologies, development of uranium deposits, geological exploration, and the expansion of cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

CNNC is China’s largest state-owned enterprise in civil nuclear programs, managing the full cycle of projects from uranium exploration and enrichment to the construction of nuclear power plants domestically and abroad.
