President of Uzbekistan departs for Turkmenistan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Ashgabat with a state visit at the invitation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on 6 March, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will hold negotiations within the visit.
The sides will discuss a wide array of issues of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan relations, exchange views on critical problems on the regional and international agenda, representing a shared interest.
It is planned to sign a joint Declaration of the Heads of state, a treaty on strategic partnership as well as several bilateral documents, aimed at further development of cooperation in various spheres after the negotiations.
