President of Uzbekistan Departs for Official Visit to Brussels
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for an official visit to Brussels at the invitation of President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

The highlight of the visit will be the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Uzbekistan and the European Union — a landmark document that will form a new legal foundation for bilateral relations, covering a wide range of areas from trade and investment to innovation, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
The President is also scheduled to meet King Philippe of the Belgians, as well as hold discussions with representatives of leading European companies and financial institutions.
