President of Uzbekistan Congratulates President of Kyrgyzstan on Birthday

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 December, during a phone conversation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, warmly congratulated the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being, and continued prosperity for the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan.

The leaders discussed practical measures to further strengthen Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations, which are founded on strategic partnership, friendship, and good neighborliness. They noted the significant progress achieved in recent years: contacts at all levels have actively expanded, trade and cargo transportation volumes have steadily grown, joint projects in priority economic sectors are being implemented, and cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchanges are being carried out.

Particular attention during the conversation was given to the practical implementation of major strategic projects, including the construction of the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan–China railway and the Kambarata-1 hydropower plant. The leaders also discussed current regional issues and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation.
