President of Uzbekistan Concludes Visit to the United States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The intensive working visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States of America has successfully concluded.

During his stay in Washington, the President held productive talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and participated in the summit of Central Asian leaders and the United States in the “C5+1” format.

As a result of the meetings, significant agreements were reached on further developing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, as well as deepening cooperation within the framework of “C5+1.”

President Mirziyoyev also met with Senator Steve Daines and Congress members Carol Miller, Bill Huizenga, and Sydney Kamlager-Dove.

During the visit, the Head of State held talks with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnik, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank John Jovanovich, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Ben Black, and Global Executive Director of General Motors Shilpan Amin.

As part of the business program, a roundtable was held with representatives of the American business community.

Following the meetings, a number of bilateral and multilateral agreements were signed to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including the economy, investment, technology, and infrastructure.

After completing the program, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent.
