Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 March, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Islamabad on a state visit.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan met the President of Uzbekistan at the capital’s airport.

High-level talks will take place today. The agenda includes issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. The main attention will be paid to the development of practical interaction, primarily in trade, investment, industrial cooperation, transport, logistics, infrastructure and tourism. The leaders will exchange views on the international and regional agendas.

Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a joint declaration and several bilateral documents.

On the second day of the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will meet with the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi, heads of leading companies of this country.
