President of Uzbekistan arrives in Baku

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with his spouse, arrived in Baku on a state visit.

At the capital airport named after Heydar Aliyev, the head of our state was met by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov and other officials. A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest.

High-level meetings will be held today, during which the leaders of the two countries will discuss issues of further deepening the Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of strategic partnership and the development of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
