President of Uzbekistan Arrives in Ankara on Official Visit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, has arrived in Ankara on an official visit.
At Esenboğa International Airport, the distinguished guests were welcomed by President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his spouse. National flags of both countries were raised, and an honor guard was assembled.
The heads of state held a brief meeting with the first ladies, during which the leaders exchanged views on further expanding Uzbek-Turkish relations and strengthening strategic partnership.
Today, the fourth session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held at the Ak-Saray residence, with plans for a comprehensive discussion on practical cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport, energy, cultural-humanitarian, and other priority areas.
In Ankara, a ceremony is also scheduled for the inauguration of the “Uzbekistan” residential complex in the Arsuz district of Hatay Province, as well as the launch of construction for an Uzbek school in Istanbul.
