Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 April, during the Samarkand summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

The leaders of both countries expressed particular satisfaction with the results of the productive trilateral meeting held on 31 March in the city of Khujand, where a historic Agreement on the point of intersection of state borders was signed.

During their meeting, the leaders discussed the practical implementation of agreements, particularly measures to accelerate key cooperation projects in industry, transport, energy, and infrastructure.

The heads of state emphasized the importance of continuing active interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchanges. They also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events and other relevant issues of regional cooperation.
