Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Al Nahyan.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on behalf of the people of the Emirates, sincerely congratulated the President and the friendly people of Uzbekistan on the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, wishing well-being, great achievements and further progress.

The parties noted with deep satisfaction the practical results of joint work in the framework of the implementation of the agreements of the high-level visit to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019.

Recently, together with the company Masdar, the first in Uzbekistan solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 100 MW was commissioned. In addition, six more large projects are being implemented in the energy complex. In general, various industries are working together to promote 15 investment projects worth about US$5 billion.

A number of important programs are being implemented in the field of training management personnel, specialists in the field of information technology, humanitarian exchange projects.

An exchange of views took place on the development of the situation in Afghanistan. An agreement was reached to continue active contacts on regional security issues.
