Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on 4-5 October 2021, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.

The agenda of the upcoming summit meeting includes issues of expanding and strengthening the Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.

It is expected that the main attention will be paid to further building up economic interaction, primarily in the areas of trade, transport and transit, energy, promoting cooperation projects in industry, agriculture and water management, enhancing contacts between the regions of the two countries, implementing joint programs of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The leaders of the countries will also exchange views on topical issues of international politics and regional cooperation.

Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to hold a number of bilateral events, including the Economic Forum.

As a result of the negotiations, it is envisaged to adopt a Joint Statement of the Heads of State, sign a solid package of documents and contracts aimed at intensifying the multifaceted partnership.
