Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov as part of a working visit to Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the head of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that earlier, in April, on behalf of the head of the government of Uzbekistan, Tatarstan was visited by the khokims of Tashkent and the Tashkent region, the minister of housing and communal services. “This made it possible to exchange experience in key areas of development of the territories. It is these mutual visits of delegations that make it possible to get new practices and establish business contacts,” the President of Tatarstan noted.
“We are actively developing cooperation with Uzbekistan. Last year, due to the pandemic, the trade turnover decreased, we will increase not in percent, but several times,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
“Relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are now experiencing an unprecedented rise. The Republic of Tatarstan under your leadership is one of the most successful subjects of the Russian Federation. I am confident that this visit will further deepen our relations,” said the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
