Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 April, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the first "Central Asia – European Union" summit.

The summit will be held in Samarkand under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The high-ranking guest was met at Samarkand International Airport by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and other official representatives.

Following the reception, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan proceeded to the next point of his visit’s agenda.
