President of Paraguay to Pay Official Visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña will make an official visit to Uzbekistan from 11 to 13 December.

During his stay in Tashkent, high-level talks are planned, at which the parties will discuss prospects for developing Uzbek–Paraguayan cooperation in the political, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention will be given to practical cooperation in agriculture, the food and chemical industries, digitalization, tourism, and sports.

The President of Paraguay will also take part in the General Assembly of the International Automobile Federation and the awards ceremony for the winners of championships held under the organization’s auspices.

The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and create new opportunities for economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
