President of Kazakhstan to pay tribute to Islam Karimov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev arrived in Samarkand to pay tribute to the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the press service of the Kazakh President said.
During the visit, Nursultan Nazarbaev will lay flowers to the grave of Islam Karimov. He will also meet with the family of the first President of Uzbekistan.
Nursultan Nazarbaev will also hold talks with Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev.
The First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov died on 2 September 2016 in the result of stroke. On 3 September, he was buried in Samarkand.
