President of Finland Stubb to Make Official Visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 30–31 October 2025, the Office of the President of Finland said.

President Stubb is scheduled to meet with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday, 31 October, in Tashkent.

During the talks, the two presidents will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan, the geopolitical situation and its regional implications for Europe and Central Asia, Russia’s unlawful war against Ukraine, and cooperation in support of the multilateral system.

As part of the visit, President Stubb will participate in a business seminar, deliver a lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and meet with foreign policy experts.

The Finnish presidential delegation will include Member of Parliament and Chair of the Finland–Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group Ville Skinnari, along with representatives of Finnish trade and industry.

Previously, an official visit to Uzbekistan was made by former President of Finland Mauno Koivisto in 1992.
