President: Number of mass media websites grows twice in last 5 years

The President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov congratulated workers of press and mass media with professional holiday, which is marked on 27 June.

Uzbek head said that internet journalism is developing in Uzbekistan along with traditional mass media. He said that number of websites rose twice in last five years and exceeds 300, which allows to enrich national information space.

He said that about 95% of internet outlets in Uzbekistan are non-governmental mass media.
