President Mirziyoyev Honors Memory of First Uzbek President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid tribute to the memory of the First President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, during a visit to his mausoleum at the Hazrati Khizr memorial complex in Samarkand.

During the visit, Quranic surahs were recited and prayers (dua) offered in honor of the late President.

Officials emphasized that, especially during holiday periods, preserving the memory of great predecessors and honoring their legacy and good deeds is a significant spiritual tradition and a moral duty.
