Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sarhumdon mahalla in Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent on 23 November.

Solving problems on the ground through the activities of ministries and departments at the grassroots level, the implementation of all programs in the context of makhallas is today the main requirement put forward by the head of our state.

In accordance with this requirement, work is organized in the Sarhumdon mahalla. Internal roads and playgrounds have been improved. Recently, a new makhalla guzar was built here. Shops and consumer service points, children's and military-patriotic grounds have been opened.

More than 6.5 thousand people live in the makhalla, there are 45 multi-storey buildings, a kindergarten and a private school. More than ten small businesses employ local youth and women.

The President got acquainted with the conditions in the mahalla. During the inspection of the military-patriotic site, recommendations were made on attracting military personnel and athletes here, educating young people in the spirit of national pride and courage.

Within the framework of the Yashil Makon project, trees have been planted in the makhalla, and a small public garden has been organized. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with the aksakals of the mahalla, planted trees in the park. Representatives of the older generation read a dua with the wishes of peace and prosperity to our country.

The head of state unexpectedly decided to visit the Gulobod mahalla. He got acquainted with the local conditions, talking with residents along the way.

93-year-old Anvarhoja-ota blessed the President. Emphasizing the changes in the makhalla, the aksakal asked to build a teahouse for the elderly. Shavkat Mirziyoyev supported the proposal and wished the venerable elder health.

In the Gulobod makhalla, there is a children's and youth sports school and a secondary school No. 45 of Shaykhantakhur district. The President also visited these schools and spoke with teachers.

- As you can see, we are trying to create conditions for education and teachers. Having come here today, I have drawn many conclusions for myself. We will also renovate the building of this school. There will be good conditions for lessons and sports. This day will become historic for you, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
