President: Families of Victims in Gulistan Café Explosion to Receive 100 Million Sums in Assistance

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At a session of the Syrdarya Regional Kengash of People’s Deputies, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his deep condolences to the families of citizens who died in the explosion at a café in the city of Gulistan.

The head of state instructed that within three days, each family of the victims should receive 100 million sums in financial assistance.

Currently, under the direction of the Director of the Republican Emergency Medical Center, ten qualified doctors are providing the injured with free medical and psychological support. At the same time, responsible authorities have been tasked to promptly determine the cause of the tragedy and ensure the rule of law.

The President emphasized that the incident should serve as a serious lesson for the entire emergency prevention system. Special attention is being paid to the need for all responsible services to switch to round-the-clock operations during the winter period to prevent similar incidents in the future.
