Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The talks of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sodik Safoev with the elected President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-youl are widely covered in the South Korean press, Dunyo news agency reported.
In particular, the leading South Korean newspapers The Korea Herald, The Korea Times, the Yonhap news agency, as well as Korean online publications published a series of articles on the participation of foreign delegations at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Seok-youl.
It is noted that Yoon Seok-youl met separately with British Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East Amanda Milling, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev and former Prime Minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama.
It is emphasized that during the meeting with President-elect Yoon Seok-youl, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev presented a congratulatory message on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in which he wished: "I am sure that Korea will be able to make a new leap under the wise leadership of the President".

I will do my best to ensure that Korean companies invest more in the economy of Uzbekistan,” South Korean publications quote the words of President-elect Yoon Seok-youl.
Quoting the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev, the publications write that “Uzbekistan supports the nomination of South Korea for the post of a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. The President of Uzbekistan will always protect the special friendship between Korea and Uzbekistan. Cooperation relations between Uzbekistan and Korea have expanded and deepened. They’ve doubled."
