Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations has been appointed in Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree appointing Khurshid Sotiv as Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations and Acting Head of the Department for Emergency Prevention.

Prior to this appointment, he held various positions within the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Previously, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry, heading the department responsible for organizing service operations and combat training of rescue forces.
