Presentation of the Book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” Held in Geneva
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 December 2025, the book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” was presented at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The publication highlights the country’s contemporary development and key reforms under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event brought together Akmal Saidov, Director of the National Human Rights Center of Uzbekistan; Eldor Toshmatov, Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Office in Geneva; François Blum, President of the Geneva Diplomatic Circle; Marit Fosse, Editor-in-Chief of Diva International magazine; and over 50 representatives from diplomatic missions, international organizations, expert circles, and media outlets.
During the presentation, participants discussed the progress and outcomes of reforms in New Uzbekistan, changes in public administration, economic and social development, human rights, gender equality, education, and foreign policy.
The book, authored by renowned political scientist, senator, and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratilla Rafikov, provides a detailed analytical overview of the country’s institutional transformations, including governance, economic modernization, social policy, human rights protection, and the empowerment of women and youth, as well as Uzbekistan’s international positioning.
Special attention was given to strengthening the rule of law, improving human rights mechanisms, modernizing economic institutions, and enhancing Uzbekistan’s role in regional and global diplomacy.
Participants noted that the book offers significant analytical value, helping the international community better understand the logic behind ongoing reforms and the strategic priorities of the state. The presentation in Geneva served as an important platform to promote knowledge about modern Uzbekistan and underscored the country’s commitment to open dialogue and international cooperation.
