Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the moment, specialists of the Ministry of Preschool Education, together with SES, are working to accelerate the launch of the activities of preschool educational institutions, which were awaiting permission from the Kengashes of People’s Deputies. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Preschool Education.

Only those preschool educational institutions that receive permission from the SES will be allowed to start work and receive children. At the same time, the preschool educational institutions will still be closed, in which construction work is currently underway, undergoing reconstruction, as well as where cases of COVID-19 infection among employees have been identified.

Thus, 20 preschool educational institutions will be closed by the end of the year in Syrdarya region, 104 preschool educational institutions in Tashkent region do not function due to the repair work under the investment program, current repairs. 

Four preschool educational institutions are in disrepair, in 2021 they were recommended for the investment program. 

The smallest number of preschool openings is observed in the city of Almalyk (out of 18 preschool educational institutions there are 2 functioning preschool educational institutions), in the city of Chirchik (out of 29, 16 preschool educational institutions are functioning), in Pskent district (17 there are three preschool educational institutions).

In the city of Tashkent, 80 preschool educational institutions are under repair.

At the moment in the country 89% of state preschool educational institutions (5,385) and 80% of non-state preschool educational institutions (private, PPP and family) (8,716) have resumed their work, the number of children attending preschool educational institutions is 691,271.
