Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 48-minute documentary film by Russian TV presenter Valdis Pelsh “Uzbekistan. Look Beyond the Horizon”tells about the rich historical heritage of Uzbekistan, and also touches on aspects of the country’s modern life - achievements in science and technology, tourism opportunities and much more. 

Valdis Pelsh’s film about Uzbekistan will be included in a series of informative films by the well-known presenter about travels around Russia and the world.

The film includes interviews with the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, the Minister of Sports and Tourism, experts in the field of physics and chemistry, artisans, as well as students of technical schools. The film revealed the wide possibilities of Uzbekistan as a scientific and technical center of Central Asia.

“The filming process lasted 23 days, and during this time the film crew visited dozens of cities and interesting locations. Of course, we did not see most of the Republic, but we made discoveries for ourselves, even though we read a lot of literature before arriving. For example, Shakhrisabz has become a complete revelation for us. Amazing place with unique sights and very nice people. The whole film is shot in the genre of travel. Thank you very much to everyone who helped us with this film, who participated in it,” says Valdis Pelsh.

According to the Director General of the Tashkent Film Festival Firdavs Abdukhalikov, the premiere on Russian television of the documentary, filmed in co-production with the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, will take place on 18 September and will be timed to coincide with the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".
