Preliminary results of Presidential elections in Uzbekistan announced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data from the CEC of Uzbekistan, in the elections held on 9 July, the candidates won the following number of votes:

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, candidate from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) - 87.05%;

Robakhon Makhmudova, candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDPU) “Adolat” -4.43%;

Abdushukur Khamzaev, candidate from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan - 3.74%;

Ulugbek Inoyatov, candidate from the People’s Democratic Party of the PDPU - 4.02%.

The data at the briefing were presented by the chairman of the Central Election Commission Nizomiddin Zainiddinov.
