Preflight weighing of passengers to ensure security of flights

Valery Tyan noted: “We fly from point A to point B. So, I can receive estimated speed on taking off as a pilot, I should enter simple data on weight of airplane with fuel and commercial load of the plane.” He said that this is required to ensure flight security.

He said that during the registration the passengers will be asked to step on line. He added that actually this is not weighting. The passengers will not even know that they have been weighted. The passengers will not feel any damage or discomfort, but it is important moment for the airline.

Valery Tyan underlined that all companies, including in the US, are conducting similar procedures. The goal is not to receive additional payment, but to clarify average weight of passenger to determine commercial load of the airplane, he said. He noted that the average passenger weight differs from country to country, and Uzbekistan Havo Yollari wants to determine own figure.
