Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Administrative Regulations for the provision of public services for the provision of preferential transport cards, giving the right to free travel to certain categories of citizens in urban passenger transport (except for route and non-linear taxis).
To obtain preferential cards, the citizens must contact the regional transport departments or apply to the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz).
The authorized body within two working days will consider the application and send the applicant information on the issuance of a preferential card or on the refusal to do so. There is no fee for this public service. At the same time, the preferential card is issued for an unlimited period.
According to the Law "On the regulation of the free use of urban passenger transport", the right to free use of urban passenger transport (except for taxis) is granted to:
participants and invalids of the war of 1941–1945 and a person accompanying a disabled war invalid of group I on trips;
citizens from among the former military personnel - internationalists who took part in the hostilities in Afghanistan and on the territory of other countries;
servicemen of active fixed-term military service and servicemen under the contract of private and non-commissioned officers;
persons who fell ill and suffered from radiation sickness caused by the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;
persons with disabilities - the blind and the person accompanying them on trips.
In accordance with the resolution, the issuance of preferential transport cards is carried out in stages:
in Tashkent and Samarkand - from 1 January 2023;
in all cities of the republic - from 1 May 2023.
Old-style certificates will be valid until 1 September 2023.
