Preferences to small businesses to be provided by default

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan directed at further strengthening reliable protection of private property, subjects of entrepreneurship and eliminating barriers for their speed development” on 20 August 2015.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 31 July 2015 and Senate approved it on 6 August 2015. The law came into force on 21 August 2015.

The document introduced changes and amendments to the law “On guarantees of freedom of entrepreneurship activities”.

According to changes, benefits and preferences, guarantees and rights, envisaged in legislation, will be provided to small businesses by default without written appeals to the authorized bodies and organizations.

The list of benefits and preferences will be published and regularly updated at the Single registrar of preferences and benefits for businesses at the Single portal of state interactive services.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan determines order of forming and updating the Single registrar of preferences and benefits for businesses.
