Potato imports increased by almost 70,000 tons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-March 2022, Uzbekistan imported 223,800 tons of potatoes from 10 countries in the amount of US$38.6 million, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Potato imports increased by almost 70,000 tons compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Countries where Uzbekistan imported potatoes in the first 3 months of 2022:

Pakistan – 172,200 tons

Kazakhstan – 20,100 tons

Russia – 13,300 tons

Kyrgyz Republic – 7,500 tons

Iran – 5,400 tons

Afghanistan – 4,000 tons

Belarus - 631.6 tons

Netherlands - 595 tons
