Postal operators to inform customs bodes about goods, delivered to individuals
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on measures to ensure control and accounting of goods entering the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan to individuals via international postal and courier departures. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
According to the resolution, Uzbekistan introduces an order according to which postal service operators and providers will inform the customs authorities about the goods delivered to individuals in international postal and courier shipments.
The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications was instructed to introduce an electronic system on informing customs bodies about incoming goods to individuals.
The President also approved the list of information submitted by postal service operators and providers or recipients of international postal or courier shipments to the state customs authorities with preliminary electronic information on goods coming to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan to individuals.
