Music festival Sharq Taronalari continues /UzA Image/
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The seventh international music festival Sharq Taronalari (Oriental Melodies) is continuing in the city of Samarkand, UzA reported.

The first to present their musical program were representatives of France, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland, Romania, Vietnam, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh and India.

The audience was impressed by the performance of the famous French Trio Hurdy Pop, Swiss band Zahtar and Kazakh ethnographic ensemble Beu Zhigitter.

The viewers also enjoyed the national dance Jalisco presented by Mexican artists, who are participating in the festival for the first time, UzA reported.

Vietnam musicians surprised everybody with their performance of the Uzbek melody Tanovar on their national instruments.

“Despite the fact that we all speak different languages, music helps us understand each other without words,” Raul Fernandes of Mexico said.

“The power of music is great,” Hoang An Tu from Vietnam said. “The performance of Uzbek singers and dancers strengthened my interest to the Uzbek art.”

Other countries also presented their musical art on the famous Registan square in the ancient city. They were Malaysia, Austria, Algiers, Belarus, Israel, USA< Egypt, Estonia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Kuwait and Azerbaijan.
