Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Government resolution “On Additional Measures to Provide Employees of Internal Affairs Agencies with Mobile Video Surveillance” was adopted.
According to the legislation, from 1 July 2019, a traffic police officer was obliged to perform official tasks openly, using a mobile video camera and notify the road user.
In accordance with the resolution, the requirement for traffic police officers to use a mobile video camera during official duty will be introduced from 1 January 2020.
Based on this, drivers, until 1 January 2020, cannot exercise the right not to provide documents to a traffic police officer, who performs official tasks without using a mobile video camera.
Drivers have the right to record the relationship with a traffic police officer on their respective audio, photo and video devices (except for cases when a traffic police officer serves in the territory where there is a sign prohibiting photo and video shooting).
