Population consumes market services for 5.4 trln soums in 1Q

In January-March 2009, total volume of market services by all kinds of activity made up 5.404 trillion soums, including 1.296 trillion soums of the rural area, or 24% of the total volume of rendered services. In comparison with January-March 2008, the real growth of services was 16.6%.
The high growth rates were achieved in the following services: financial, including microcredit financing - 48.4%, communication and information, including services of information and resource centers - 42.5%, tourism - 41.3%, repair of cars and other equipment - 27.1%, trade and catering - 18.1% and personal - 17.8%.
The following services prevailed in the structure of services: transport (36.4% of total services), trade and catering (14.5%), communal (14.2%), communication and information, including services of information and resource centers (7.9%), financial, including microcredit financing (7.6%).
