Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Political parties and their presidential candidates can hold meetings with voters and other mass events as part of the election campaign.

According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, a special republican commission for combating coronavirus has given the appropriate permission.

At the same time, political parties must ensure social distancing between participants, their use of face masks, the use of antiseptic agents and compliance with other sanitary and hygienic and quarantine requirements during events.

The commission also recommended attention to such an issue as the receipt of the vaccine against the coronavirus by those invited to the events.

The presidential elections will be held on 24 October 2021. Five political parties of Uzbekistan have nominated their candidates for the presidency.
