Police Officer Saves Woman Who Jumped into River in Bukhara Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A preventive inspector from Vabkent District in Bukhara Region, Captain Amrillo Rasulov, rescued a woman who jumped into a river, the Department of Public Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The incident occurred on 29 January around 16:30. Noticing the woman in the water, the officer immediately jumped into the icy river with a strong current and managed to bring her to the shore, where nearby citizens assisted him.

An ambulance team arrived at the scene and transported the woman to the hospital. According to medical personnel, her condition is assessed as satisfactory.

The woman, aged 20, has four children and resides in the Gijduvan District of Bukhara Region. The reasons and circumstances that led her to take this action are currently under investigation.
