Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- U.B., who lives in Dekhkanabad district of Kashkadarya region, made a statement and explained that various videos and photographs are being distributed on social networks, which contain fabricated and slanderous information about him.

In addition, the user of an anonymous account in the Telegram messenger, contacting him, said that for 8 million soums he would remove this information from social networks. In this regard, the author of the statement requested that legal measures be taken against the unknown person. This was reported by the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the course of the operational-search activities, persons who extorted money were identified. They turned out to be 38-year-old M.R. and 76-year-old N.S., living in Dekhkanabad district of Kashkadarya region.

These citizens were detained with material evidence upon receipt from U.B. the required amount.

A criminal case has been initiated against the attackers under part 2 of article 165 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is underway.
