Persons, forging US dollars, detained

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man was detained in Ferghana region when he attempted to exchange fake US dollar banknotes at the amount of US$200 at Agrobank.

The law enforcement bodies found 100 units of fake US$50 with total value of US$5,000. The bills were seized as material evidence, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

At the conclusion of the examination, it was established that the fake US dollars were made using a computer and a color printer.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under paragraph 1 of Article 176 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, investigative actions are underway.
