Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Bakhtiyor Ibragimov has met with the President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir, UzA reported.
The parties exchanged views on the results of the visit of the head of the General Assembly to Uzbekistan on July 5-7, 2021. The main results of the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” were discussed.
President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly spoke very positively about his visit to Uzbekistan, calling the bilateral talks very effective and fruitful.
He noted that deep transformations are being carried out in all spheres in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
UN General Assembly President emphasized the importance of the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” in promoting comprehensive political, diplomatic, trade, economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
He noted that this forum has also become a good platform for discussing collective efforts for the establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
