Pedestrian killed by Malibu driver in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A fatal traffic accident occurred in Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, the press service of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate said.

On 11 May, at approximately 4:00 am, on Feruza Street, the driver of a Malibu 2 hit a 45-year-old man, who died at the scene.

In this case, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of a person).

An investigation is underway.
