For reference, in January 2025, JSC Paynet acquired 100% of the state-owned shares of Humo for US$65 million.
JSC Paynet is one of the largest players in Uzbekistan’s financial technology market, operating for over 18 years.
The company’s system facilitates payments for goods and services from more than 1,500 providers, serving an audience of over 20 million users annually.
The national payment system Humo was established in September 2018 amid disruptions at the private processing center Uzcard, to ensure the stability of the national payment system and prevent market monopolization.
