Passenger car production in Uzbekistan up by 9.7% in the first nine months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–September 2025, enterprises in Uzbekistan produced 326,364 passenger cars, marking a 9.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when 297,724 cars were manufactured, according to the National Committee on Statistics.
A notable trend was the surge in special-purpose vehicle production, which more than doubled from 18,879 units in 2024 to 39,163 in 2025 — a growth of 107%.
Brand-wise analysis shows a mixed performance: Cobalt production decreased by 1.5% to 116,008 units, Damas dropped by 3.1% to 67,879 units, and Onix declined by 8.7% to 22,598 units.
In contrast, Tracker output increased by 9.5% to 34,179 units, KIA rose by 38% to 19,633 units, and Chery expanded production by 22.5% to 6,882 units.
Strong growth was also recorded by Haval, whose production rose 3.5 times from 1,803 to 6,245 units, and BYD, which grew from 681 to 13,730 cars.
A new addition to the market was the Tank 500, with production beginning at 47 units.
